This is the second year Giselle has made cupcakes and a cake for my son’s birthday and they were even better than I remember! She is so creative and can do ANYTHING! The cupcakes were all pokemon characters and the cake was a giant pokemon ball. Both came out so well; all of the guests were blown away. Not only did everything look so COOL, they were delicious!! I even brought leftovers to my office so people could taste how incredible everything turned out. Thanks to Giselle for another great birthday!!
Giselle is amazing! Her prices are reasonable and she caters to all of your wishes. She is super nice and professional. She baked my birthday cake and I was in love with everything about it! I will definitely continue to go to Giselle in the future!
It took me a while to find a good bakery for my daughter’s first birthday. I am a fan of fondant cake but it turned out not easy to find a good bakery who has the expertise and experience. When I reached out to Gissel four days in advance of the party, I was already quite nervous. Gissel assured me and provided good suggestions on how we can move forward quickly but satisfying all my requirements. Eventually we had a two-tier fondant cake, with a monkey figurette and Number 1 on top, and some shooting stars, all made out of fondant. The cake looked great! My experience with fondant cakes is that they normally don’t taste so good because people put so much focus on the decoration. Yet Gissel’s cake tasted spectacular! It was not so sugary for my daughter, but still tasty and fluffy. All of our guests loved it!
Gisselle has done my son birthday cake every year since he was 2, he just turned 4! From mickey mouse, toy story and now scooby doo she has always done an excellent work, very professional and always on time. Cakes are beautiful and awesome 😃and she has great ideas and skills, flavor…delicious and moist! love the guava! Always getting good compliments at the birthdays! My son loooves his cakes!! A big thanks to Giselle for the birthday cake. We wanted a car themed cake. She provided us a lot of options and tries to make it as special as she could whatever be the budget.
The kids totally loved it. My son was able to identify each of the different type of vehicles that were made and we all loved the taste of the cake equally.
We worked with a sample design and added some customization to it. She had all of it covered.
Furthermore, she made changes to the cake (making it better than what we had asked for) to make sure it withstands the heat and amuses the little ones. This is truly a testimony to her passion and commitment.
She was way beyond professional. The rates were highly reasonable as compared to other bakeries for similar designs.
All of us absolutely loved the cake (Red velvet cake)- the way it looked, felt and tasted.
It is a mere chance that we ended up ordering this cake with Giselle. But we will definitely be recommending her to our friends and family for any occasion.

Gissell made us the most beautiful and awesome Cars cake. It was exactly what I hoped for and my 2-year-old was so excited. He was amazed with all of it – the roads, the cards, the cones, his name written in the “Cars” font. The cake itself was perfect as it was not too sweet. Gissell was very professional and so easy to work with. She asked me exactly what I wanted, and was flexible regarding the size of the cake. We only had a small party so we did not need a huge cake, and she was very accommodating. The other parents were impressed and asked to know where I had gotten the cake made. I’ll definitely be ordering from her again. Highly recommend!
This is the second time around that I’m getting a cake by Gissell and it is absolutely the best. From the flavor to the presentation as well to the service is just great A+. The first cake was a patron style cake and it was a hit with my boyfriend and family, as well as his graduation cake that we devoured today 😋Banana flavored cake with cream cheese is a must Very delicious! I ordered superhero cupcakes AND a lego cake for my son’s birthday – both were delicious and looked SO cool! My son and all of our guests were so impressed. Gissell was great to work with; she did exactly as requested which made my son very happy!! As a bonus, she was able to deliver which was a huge help. The Minecraft cake we ordered was amazing and it tasted soooo good! Thank you for accepting the order on such short notice. My son has very simple tastes so he enjoyed the vanilla with vanilla frosting. Everyone enjoyed the cake! Thanks and look forward to ordering again soon.
I got cupcakes almost a year ago for my friends baby shower and not only did they look great, they tasted great. Now, I’m a tough critic when it comes to baked goods like cakes and cupcakes but Gisselle did a bang up job! She was also very sweet and professional which to me is a very big deal!:)

Giselle made me a beautiful Mickey Mouse cake for my son’s 1st birthday. I did the banana cake with Vanille filling and was a big hit with my guest they loved it! Thank you Giselle once again for making an awesome cake!

I was looking for a special cake for our twins’ first birthday party with family and luckily I found idreamofcakes.net – Gissell did an amazing job and everyone at the party was blown away. The cake was also delicious – we did yellow cake and chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream… yum! The design was so professional, creative and fun, and the style is signature and really memorable. We did a circus theme and she had the circus animals beautifully done, and got both names to fit in a tasteful but fun way… so cool!

We ordered a Minecraft cake for our daughter’s birthday. The cake was not only beautiful but also delicious. A huge success with the kids and grown ups as well! Gissell has been wonderful, great customer service, flawless transaction. We will definitely order from her again.
Gissell generously contributed incredibly perfect fondant cupcakes to help make a wish come true for a very special young girl. Recently we had a Lego themed birthday party for my nephew who was turning six (Feb. 2014) and I was in charge of getting the cake. I wanted to get something really special because in addition to it being a birthday party this was also going to be a congratulations party for my nephew’s father who just graduated from undergrad. I did some online research and called a few places – they were either too far away and didn’t deliver to the Bronx, didn’t have a decent website, weren’t helpful in coming up with creative ideas for my cake or just generally sounded sketchy. I happen to stumble upon http://www.Idreamofcakes.net and I was immediately impressed by the professional website. I was delighted to see a variety of quality photos of many beautiful cakes and desserts. After reading the “About” section on the website and learning how Gissell was inspired to create I Dream of Cakes I knew I had to contact her. Gissell was very friendly, she put me at ease right away. It was weird because while she was very professional she also came across as very genuine and interested in helping me out too. She was very trustworthy – she said that she would call me back at a certain time and she did. She was very accommodating, we bounced creative ideas back and forth and she sent me pictures to help me visualize what the cake would look like. She was totally open to any questions or suggestions that I had. I was nervous about the timing, I had only contacted Gissell a week before the party, but she assured me that my cake would be ready in time. She followed-up with me throughout the week to keep my updated, which I really appreciated. As promised the cake was ready on time and it far surpassed my expectations! The cake was perfect, beautiful and it tasted amazing!!! Everyone at the party commented on how awesome the cake looked and how delicious it tasted. Gissell was even kind enough to through in some red velvet cupcakes that were to die for!
After doing business with Gissell and meeting her in person, I would without a doubt recommend her work to everyone.

The cake was so amazing. I came to her late, just the day
before the events due to the problem of my gift deliver man. When I
was worried that I could not get the cake because the time was so
limited. She took my order immediately and began to bake the cake.
We met once, but she was very understanding and the idea was
fantastic. The last night before event, she showed me the picture,
that was exactly what I want. Also, her husband was a nice person
for sending me the cake. What is more, I asked for vanilla flavor
cake base, which was so yummy. Not too sweet, not plain at all, and
the strawberry jam suits the cake very well. I cant even think of a
word to describe it precisely. My boyfriend kept asking me where I
got the cake and I decided not to tell him^^. Highly recommended
for everybody! If you have a important event, go and find Gissell,
she can makes dreams come true!

Two days before my daughter’s first birthday, my cake lady cancelled on us. I found Giselle online and called her to see if she would take my order on such short notice. Not only did she take my order, she went out of her way to accomodate my needs. The cake was made exactly the way I wanted. I got the white cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and cookies and cream filling! My baby Loves Dora and the Dora cake came out amazing!!! Giselle My family would like to thank you for all of your hard work and effort to make my baby’s day that much more special. We are looking forward to booking you for future events!

I resently ordered a tres leches cake for a birthday. Everyone loved the cake. It had the best supiro( Dominican frosting) I’ve had in a while and the fruit you used to top it were so fresh and sweet. The cake itself was deliciously moist and sweetened to perfection. I’m not a big fan of trea leches cake but I must say yours was one of the best I’ve tasted! I will defenetely use your services again and refer you to anyone I know in need of a cake!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, your cake designs are amazing! The Toy Story 3 themed cake you did for my son’s 4th birthday was so fantastic, people were afraid to eat it b/c they didn’t want to mess it up…
I almost wanted to freeze the cake and put it away as a piece of memorabilia than eat it. But all the kids loved it, as did their parents. It tasted just as great as it looked. You are definitely my go-to person for any cakes that I will need in the future. Hands down!
