This colorful, character-inspired cake was made for a very special client in The Bronx, and it was nothing short of a joyful creation! Designed around a beloved Sesame Street theme, the two-tier cake features two fan-favorite characters: Elmo and Cookie Monster — each brought to life in cake form with texture, color, and personality.
The top tier is a 6″ vanilla Elmo cake, decorated with bright red fondant, wide eyes, and his signature orange nose. Sitting beneath it is an 8″ chocolate Cookie Monster cake, covered in piped blue buttercream to mimic his fuzzy texture, complete with googly eyes, a big smile, and of course — fondant chocolate chip cookies scattered around the base.
Both tiers were made nut-free to accommodate the needs of the birthday family, and together they made a perfect combo of sweet flavor and childhood nostalgia. To top it off, a custom fondant street sign was added with the name “NYA” and a little “1” to celebrate the birthday girl’s big milestone.
This cake wasn’t just a showstopper — it brought big smiles and lots of giggles from guests young and old. Creating character cakes like this is always such a treat, especially when they’re for amazing families celebrating such special moments.
